Hermès is one of the most iconic luxury brands, known for timeless and elegant designs. Among their jewelry line, the Pop H necklace has become a true classic. With its simple yet recognizable “H” pendant, it is often chosen as a first luxury necklace because it is versatile enough to be worn every day, yet sophisticated enough to elevate any outfit.

I recently purchased both the Regular and the Mini Pop H necklaces, and after wearing them for a while, I realized the two sizes give very different impressions. If you are considering buying one but aren’t sure which size to pick, here is my honest, first-hand comparison.


 



1. Design: First Impressions

  • Regular Size

    • Pendant size: about 1.5 cm.

    • When I opened the box, the “H” logo immediately stood out.

    • The pendant feels bold and eye-catching, especially in classic black. Even from a distance, it is clearly Hermès.

  • Mini Size

    • Pendant size: about 1.0 cm.

    • At first, I thought it looked smaller than expected, but once I tried it on, I fell in love with the subtle elegance.

    • The mini size gives off a chic and understated vibe, perfect for layering with other necklaces.

2. Wearing Experience & Styling

  • Regular Pop H

    • The Regular size feels bold, almost like saying “this is the star of today’s outfit.”

    • Works beautifully with formal looks such as blouses, dresses, or office outfits.

    • However, on casual t-shirts, it sometimes feels a bit too much.

  • Mini Pop H

    • Extremely lightweight and easy to wear daily.

    • Matches effortlessly with t-shirts, sweaters, shirts, and dresses.

    • I find myself reaching for the Mini much more often because it blends naturally into any style.

👉 Regular = perfect for special occasions / Mini = best for daily wear.




3. Price & Value

  • Regular: I purchased mine for around ₩850,000–₩950,000 (approx. $650–$750), depending on color and store.

  • Mini: Slightly more affordable at around ₩750,000 (approx. $570).

  • Popular colors like black, gold, and white tend to sell out quickly and may even carry a premium.

Despite the price difference not being very large, I feel that the Mini offers higher value in terms of versatility and cost-per-wear.



4. My Final Verdict: Which One Should You Choose?

After wearing both, here is my conclusion:

  • Choose the Regular if you want a necklace that instantly stands out and serves as a statement piece for formal occasions.

  • Choose the Mini if you’re looking for something subtle, elegant, and comfortable for everyday wear.

Personally, I now use the Mini for daily outfits and keep the Regular for events or gatherings. If your budget allows, having both sizes gives you the best of both worlds.



The Hermès Pop H necklace may look simple, but the difference between the Regular and Mini size is significant. Photos online don’t always capture the real feel, so I hope this side-by-side comparison from my own experience helps you decide.
